Willow Wednesday (and Welcome Back!)

The Hokes moved back to the neighborhood this week and Jaime picked up some balloons for us to greet them. 

She could not find a balloon for the occasion, but they did have "Welcome Baby" so Jaime covered up a couple of letters and made this balloon part of the festivities. 

Camino Reunion

We had a beautiful Camino reunion tonight. We gathered at this same restaurant in January as strangers and returned here as friends who had shared something really special together. Buen Camino!! 

and it also happened to be Gary's birthday so we pulled out all the stops to mark the occasion! 

Summer Kenyan Gathering

 We gathered our neighbors who are from Kenya along with a family I met through seminary for dinner tonight, and it was a sweet time to be together around the table.

Good Medicine

Erika and Jim have often said that people describe the Yuba River as "good medicine," and I would say the same is true of summers in the PNW!
