In the last few miles of the marathon, Elizabeth and I were running on the Alaskan Way Viaduct and we looked up and saw the Seattle Great Wheel. We both talked about how it would be great to go on it together later in the summer and be able to look down together at the place where we ran. Even in that moment when I was hurting and ready to be done in the race, I knew it would indeed be a great memory to share later this summer with her. So, we put it on the calendar a while back for today, and we are so thankful that the sun cooperated and gave us a beautiful day for our trek downtown.
