What a gift to have Carter Crockett in town for 24 hours as he is here for a conference at SPU today... He got in last night to our house at 10:30 and we stayed up past midnight to catch up with this dear old friend... (Strength to him today as he powers through the day and then catches a red eye flight tonight to get back to the east coast to teach tomorrow!)

As we talked about some of our twists and turns that life has taken us on since we were neighbors in the Rainier Valley, I was impressed with how good it is to walk through life with friends who point us to the faithfulness of God. I was reminded of these these quotes:
