“But a Samaritan while traveling came near him; and when he saw him, he was moved with pity.” -Luke 10:33
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached on this Scripture: “The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: ‘If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?’ But… the good Samaritan reversed the question: ‘If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?'” In Christ, our neighbor's wounds are our business. Woe to us who try to bypass their suffering because we do not think it affects us.
