Our neighbor Jessica Petrie got engaged this summer and is getting married on 2/27/21. Due to changing restrictions in Michigan where they were originally going to get married, they kept adjusting plans over and over again and finally settled on their wedding with only their immediate families in Colorado where they live now. The ache for their family was not getting to have the neighborhood as a part of the celebration so they got creative and planned an outdoor shower last night with some family and with friends from the neighborhood, and then we had a surprise send off for them today. I love how this community rallies for one another and makes a way to celebrate intentionally (but also safely!) :)
