A few of us in the neighborhood got to head over to Whidbey Island this past weekend to be together for a writing retreat. (One friend Susanna has a dream for all of us to submit a chapter to write a book together about living together in this neighborhood and about the intersection of faith and place.) Regardless of where the book idea goes, it was a wonderful weekend away to get to have some sandy toes.
