Today was pretty special getting to go back to a trail that I hiked with Jason, Gene, and Bette in the summer of 1994 called Alpine Ridge over across Kachemak Bay. Meanwhile, Dan & the boys caught some HUGE halibut and had a grand adventure of their own!

We renamed this trail "Fire Swamp Trail" as it was so overgrown and there was quite a bit of bush wacking... a bit challenging at times, but oh, so worth it!! (and bonus that both Anna and Taylor said they loved it.)
