Whatever was done in love will remain

I gave the opening blessing and the convocation at the hooding ceremony for the education grad students today. Here are a few lines I adapted from Kate Bowler's blessings that is helping me also to say goodbye to this chapter:

"And let them remember:
whatever was done in love will remain."

graduation shoes

with Mike after Ivy Cutting
(and yes- I was wearing a new outfit today because there was an undergrad who did not have a cap and gown so I gave mine to her. And there has been an extra doctoral robe that one of the retired education professors left in our hallway a few years ago, so I wore that for the day and laughed that I received an honorary doctorate today with my dress up.)

with Becky Hughes (we've been in book groups together every year since 2017 around racial equity)

SOE love: Jill, Nalline, Scott, Kirsten, Grace and Krystle

YES! Someone got the memo and blew bubbles at graduation

with Luke and Kristi Henry (Kristi and I worked together with the Edge in the mid-90's and it was so much fun to have her son in one of my classes this year!)

with Hannah Marsh (I know we are not supposed to have favorites, but she's one of the best!)

with dean Nyaradzo

with Nalline and Kirsten
