As
I scrolled through the pictures from marches around the world today,
I
got teary seeing the sign from a girl in Barcelona that said,
"Make
America Kind Again."
Yes
indeed.
"May
God bless you with a restless discomfort
about
easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships,
so
that you may seek truth boldly and love deep within your heart.
May
God bless you with holy anger
at
injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people,
so
that you may tirelessly work for justice, freedom, and peace among all people.
May
God bless you with the gift of tears
to
shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all
that they cherish,
so
that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and transform their pain into
joy.
May
God bless you with enough foolishness
to
believe that you really can make a difference in this world,
so
that you are able, with God’s grace, to do what others claim cannot be
done."

Blessing
We planned on taking the bus to get there this morning, but the line was over three city blocks long to get on the bus. We then looked up taking an Uber, but that would have cost over $100! So, Anna, Taylor, Eva, Byron and I just jumped in our car and found a sneaky way down to the start of the event (thankfully, it really was not that crazy to drive). I am thankful we were able to see the masses of people at the start and that we were able to walk along the course for about an hour to be a part of this monumental event.
one of my favorite signs
one of the many creative signs out there today...
