There is a wonderful woman at our church who spearheads a project called the Rainier Popup Kitchen. They provide a meal every Sunday from 3 to 4 pm on Rainier Avenue South under the I-90 overpass, and they welcome anyone to come join to help. Our small group went to be a part of this yesterday, and it was such a great thing to witness these neighbors sharing hope and breaking bread together.
