Tunnel to Viaduct Run

With the fun run this morning, we got to be some of the first people to step foot in the new tunnel that has been years in the making while also capitalizing on one last opportunity to run atop the viaduct before it gets torn down in the next month.

It was an EARLY wake up call to get to the start line,
and at first Anna was not too excited about her decision to sign up for this race.

But, I am so proud to say that she rallied and ran such a great race.
At the finish, she told me she felt great through the whole thing and was so glad she did it.

Here we are snuggled up to stay warm with a baby blanket that a mom with a stroller gave us to cuddle up with for a few moments before our corral got to start

So funny- when we saw this selfie that we took later, we laughed at the woman behind us who looks like she is glaring at the camera. Jason looked at the picture more closely and realized that this woman is a principal who works in the district with him! He is going to use this picture as a joke on Tuesday for a meeting that she will be attending. :)

with 29,000 other runners this morning!

We loved making the memory with Genny, Kathryn and Jeanette today!

Yay! A fun finish!
