Dolomites- Day 3

 Day 3: Lagazuoi Hut to Hotel Costes 

We started the day bright and early (thanks to Janie telling us how spectacular the sunrise was with the 360 degree views from the Lagazuoi Rifugio.

As for our hike today.....
Abba often reminds me of the Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia) quote: 
"It's not an adventure until something goes wrong." 

We had a 10-mile hike that turned into a 16.5-mile hike due to missing a trail- OOPS! 

But let me say that gone are the days when I had to carry Taylor down from our hike in Mt. Le Conte in the Smoky Mountains, and I was so proud of Anna and Taylor managing expectations and making it such a great day! They are the best hiking buddies around! 

(and thanks to Jason for his wonderful way of making us laugh

 over dinner about the absurdity of our mishap.)
