A few weeks ago, my friend Maegan sent our running group a text inviting us to sign up for the Ancient Lakes 25K. Without looking much into it, Elizabeth, Della, and I all signed up- not quite realizing it would mean getting up at 4 am to drive over there for the start. But it was totally worth it, and we had a fabulous day today!

the run turned out to be a bit more than a 25K (more like 17.2 miles--- but it sure was great that we had cloud coverage and that it was cool today---- and that it was not like running on the surface of the sun from our time in the Sun Mountain 50K for my bday 2 years ago!)

and while it was beautiful terrain, let's not forget to honor fun snacks at the finish! :)
