We are so grateful for our second day in Montgomery exploring the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park that opened in the spring of 2024 and the Memorial for Peace and Justice. Another very moving and powerful day!!
seeing these statues in the rain made it all the more poignant...
Anna reflected that the memorial was powerful: walking through the pillars and then beneath them made the experience especially striking. She observed that this legacy in our country is quite literally hanging over our heads, calling us to reckon with it and to commit ourselves to justice and peace.
