Before driving to Nashville, we stopped for one last visit through Montgomery to see a few more sights (the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church where Martin Luther King Jr was pastor, the site where the Freedom Riders got off and were attacked, and the bus stop where Rosa Parks made history). A new statue was unveiled in October 2025 in front of the state capital building of Rosa Parks, and it was such a treat to see that.
