Heaven

A new friend from Bellingham told me I should stop by Gordon Skagit Farm in Mount Vernon on my drive back to Seattle today, and I think that I may have gone to heaven. The sunshine and the sunflowers and the pumpkins were such a surprise today and filled my cup to the brim! 

I called my sweet friend Angela who loves sunflowers just as much as I do while I was there. 🌻

Silver Candlesticks People

 Such a gift to be with some of our favorite people in the world on Friday night... 

I have not polished these candlesticks that Dan gave us for our wedding 30+ years ago in quite some time, but with a little elbow grease, they sure look good! I think they need to be a permanent fixture on our dining room table as a reminder of grace upon grace that we have been given.. 💕

Dicks-a-thon 2026

Today was a good day.

Because I got to dress up as a hamburger (for the second year in a row!), with two friends by my side dressed as French fries and ice cream.

The perfect combination: a little ridiculousness + good friends + a good cause = an excellent way to spend a day.

That’s the spirit of Dick’s-A-Thon: big adventures, a little silliness, and a whole lot of heart. In honor of Ian Cox, the event brings people together to celebrate his legacy while raising money for organizations that support search and rescue and access to the outdoors.
