For one human being to love another: that is…the work for
which all other work is but preparation.

so thankful to have some family time on a trail yesterday
our hike to Denny Creek was fabulous with the treat of playing in the water at our destination
We all were part of the polar bear club and we each took the plunge into the icy cold water.... I thought of our friend Sven who challenged us to try 100 things we had never done before one summer when we worked in Yosemite, and I just had to jump in after Anna, Taylor and Jason already had!
A great way to feel fully alive!
warming up
at Madison Park for our anniversary dinner
what a GORGEOUS night with Rainier showing off in the background..
dinner at Cactus was SUCH a treat! (Thanks Gingie!!)
always a sweet thing to see sleeping children...
what gifts to celebrate after 17 years together!!
Saturday night in the Land of Nod
our Sunday morning trash pick up after church
like father like daughter...
training for a marathon here in the NW in the summer is pretty spectacular.... what a gift to run on Lake WA Blvd today with Elizabeth!
baking cookies tonight with Micah for his 28th celebration
Taylor in his element at the jumps at Green Lake
His buddy Aidan came too (and they were amazing riders- going from our house to Green Lake, riding the jumps and then riding back to our house!)
Aidan is spending the night at our house tonight- no worries about them not sleeping well tonight for the sleepover- they were wiped out!
