After leaving Sun River a bit after 9 am yesterday, we thought we would have no problem reaching Kirkland by 5 for Elizabeth's baptism. But, the summer traffic was horrendous and we did not arrive until the party at their house after the ceremony at 7:30. Seeing her little smile was worth the 10 hour trek, and we were delighted to at least get to be a part of the celebration at their house. :)
(Taylor did comment that the drive was nothing compared to the long treks in Kenya.
Gotta love some perspective!)
