Earlier in the summer, Anna asked me if we could run in a race sometime before school started up again. I scoured the list of local races but could not find a 5K that we could do together that would fit our schedule. The one that worked with our schedule was a 10K around Lake Union, and even thought it was longer, she was up for the challenge. The bonus was that it was sponsored by one of our favorite brunch spots in town called Portage Bay Cafe, and a breakfast bar would be ready for runners after the finish line. This was motivation enough for us both! I am so proud of our little runner who ran the whole way this morning and who had such a fun time along the course today.
