A favorite memory growing up was that Janie had a brass bowl that had fun candy treats in them in the hallway during different seasons (candy pumpkins for Halloween, extra gumdrops at Christmas, etc.).It was hard to walk past it without indulging in a little treat. I have a bowl for Halloween that I pull out and fill with goodies reminiscent of those good old days...
