Happy Fall, Y'all!
The spirit of gratitude
acknowledges that others, including our spouse, friends, and God, gave us many
gifts, big and small, to help us achieve the goodness in our lives. Gratitude
is a relationship-strengthening spirit. It’s more than a feeling. It’s an
attitude, a habit, a choice, a motive, a way of life. Perhaps that’s why Cicero,
the Roman philosopher, said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues,
but the parent of all the others."
-Les Parrott
CS Lewis once surmised that each person is created to see a
different facet of God’s beauty—something no one else can see in quite the same
way—and then to bless all worshipers through all eternity with an aspect of God
they could not otherwise see. –John Ortberg
As we grow in our
capacities to see and enjoy the joys that God has placed in our lives, life
becomes a glorious experience of discovering His endless wonders.
Keep close to nature's heart... and break clear
away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash
your spirit clean. - John Muir
The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. -e. e. cummings
I want to help you to
grow as beautiful as God meant you to be when He thought of you first. –George
MacDonald
You are the only you this world will ever know, and something about you is meant to make something about God known in a way that no one else can.
– Dan Allender
Let nothing dim the light that shines from within. –Maya
Angelou
