Deck the Halls (a bit early)

Last Wednesday on 9/23, when I was stopping by Lowe's, the shelves were already stocked with Christmas decor. It seems to get earlier every year when Christmas stuff is put out in stores, and maybe since 2020 has been so crazy, they figured that people need cheer anywhere they can get it.

We borrowed a fake Christmas tree yesterday from a neighbor to set up to have in the background for Anna's online tryouts for the Steadfast Tin Soldier (Dance Fremont's holiday performance).

Here is the announcement Dance Fremont shared about the 2020 show: "This year, The Steadfast Tin Soldier will be reimagined as a dance film. The film will highlight the accomplishments of this year's performers, with a few surprise cameos from previous years' footage--including the very first year of the ballet--as a way to honor the tradition and growth that Steadfast has represented at Dance Fremont. The rehearsal process will culminate in a virtual film viewing party that you can invite friends and family to- no matter where in the world they are!"

Anna said that her class had so much fun brainstorming all the ways and places students could film their parts.

We returned the Christmas tree to our neighbor's attic and now are back on track with October decor:
