Beaten Path- Day 3 (Wednesday, August 2, 2023)
gratitude list from the day:
*waterfall morning hike with Anna and Taylor
*daily trail confetti
* getting to our campsite just in time to put up the tents before the rain (mostly!)
*crackling fire that Colter, Caz, and Taylor built before the rain (and that we still enjoyed after the rain)
*time to read a wonderful book in the tent during the rain
*great conversations around the fire and reflection time together
*peanut sauce over rice with peppers for dinner
sunrise over Dewey Lake

hike to Impasse Falls that the three of us did while others fished at the lake and had some down time

Taylor was an amazing river guide helping us across the water when we had to cross at different sections on the trail
Anna pointing to the boys' tent (after they fixed the fly that was on backwards and that had let in a ton of water-- Taylor said it was the funniest thing that has happened to the three of them as they were trying to figure it all out!)
