Anna's 9 3/4 birthday

Yesterday (August 13, 2012) was Anna's 9 3/4 birthday. For all you Harry Potter Fans, you'll get the reference and the significance of the number 9 3/4. In many ways, it felt like we did get dropped off at King's Cross Station and that we hopped on the train to go to Hogwarts because the day was so surreal as we said some painful goodbyes and then hours later we were transported to the Emerald City.

Anna, Lily and the 9 3/4 platform sign from her birthday

a fun morning of playing clue with Janie before we left...

a blessing given to us from Janie:
May the peace of Christ go with you
Wherever He may send you
May He guide you through the wilderness
Protect you through the storm
May He bring you home rejoicing
At the wonders He has shown you
May He bring you home rejoicing
Once again into our doors.
(and that each new day will bring more than you could possibly dream or imagine!)

Taylor's assortment of army men ready for battle on his drop down tray on the airplane..
