On the Camino,
the whole country is in on it—
yellow arrows everywhere,
pointing you in the right direction,
helping you stay the course,
guiding your next step.
Now that I am
home,
I miss seeing the yellow arrows
at every turn.
The arrows are
not just
about following an ancient path.
They are invitations.
They remind me
to
pay attention.
Look for the glimmers—
the pixie dust everywhere.
Go on a God hunt.
Look for beauty,
truth,
goodness,
creativity,
and love.
They remind me
to
practice
attunement.
They remind me to
pay attention
to the expected
and unexpected.
To find God
in ordinary
and hidden moments.
So, let's keep
looking.
Let's look for the arrows
that are all
around us—
not painted on the road
or displayed on buildings,
but inviting us
to notice,
to receive,
and to go deeper
into a life
of love,
justice,
generosity,
and joy.
Buen Camino.
