Rain Forest Giants

another great start to the day

This was formerly one of the  largest Douglas Fir trees in the Olympic National Forest near Lake Quinault, but when it fell down, they cut a path in the middle of it so you can run right through it-- so awesome!

Not a bad place for Anna to take a test for her AP Govt. class this morning...

We got a lot of mileage and laughter out of the Olympic Project which is dedicated to trying to prove the existence of Sasquach.

This giant 1,000 year old Sitka Spruce is almost 59 feet (18m)
in diameter and 191 feet (58.2m) tall!
