rock star in the house

From 6-7 last night, we got to be a part of a virtual concert with Cary Brothers. Over the summer, Cary announced that he was hosting some mini benefit concerts to support some local organizations in Los Angeles, and Janie signed up for one on 11/13 on Anna's birthday.

I've known Cary since I was 6 years old as he lived down the street from us in Nashville when we were growing up, and we've seen each other over the years when we return for Christmas each year.  So- not only was this a fun pre-dinner concert last night that was an incredible treat for Anna's 18th birthday, but it was also a really fun mini reunion on Zoom with Cary, Mom, Dad, Jim, Erika, Jed Dunkerley and Julia Sutherland.

A few of the songs he sang: Blue Eyes, Oh Holy Night (to kick off the Christmas season), and he had us in tears when he played Rainbow Connection as the last song.

Poppy even joined us for a little while

I dug Kermit out for the Rainbow Connection....
