Jason and I dropped off Taylor Friday evening to meet his NOLS crew at their headquarters in Mount Vernon, and it was exciting meeting a few folks and giving our big hug to him before launching him into the Waddington Range. They leave from there on Sunday at 3 to catch a ferry to Vancouver Island. And then from there, they will take a float plane to the start of their hike!
We found out that the NOLS is closing their offices as of next summer in the North Cascades (and a few other parts of the country) due to lower numbers, so it's awesome that Taylor signed up now!
