It seems that a theme this month for us has been our effort to squeeze the last good drops of summer out of Seattle here. This morning, we checked another thing off my bucket list of biking to the Honeybear bakery and back on a ride down the Burke Gilman trail. Since Anna and Taylor have been such champs riding on the Lochside trail in Victoria, I gambled that this almost 20 mile ride would be in their reach today. And thankfully, because the Honeybear has some of the best treats in the NW, they felt it was totally worth it. :)
most beautiful cream cheese spread on a bagel we've ever seen!
Oh, what a treat to see this bear again!
We used to love the old Honeybear location
when it was near Green Lake back in the day...
a photo booth at the Honeybear
a favorite statue along the Burke Gilman trail that I discovered
while running here and training for the Boston marathon...
more selfies taken when he was supposed to be taking a picture of us!
a magical stop along the trail that looks like it is straight out of Tolkein's Hobbit...
