tuesday's report...

I read this from one of my favorite blogs today from Winn Collier and loved it...

“Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.” Luke 6: 37-38

"I love that. We have no idea what the person we’re meeting today carries with them, but we do know (if we’ve paid attention) what we have carried — and what we sometimes carry even now. We know what it is to strain at our life. We know what it is to be alone or misplaced or fearful. We know that there are times (many) when we need someone to pause for friendship, someone to simply go easy on us." - http://winncollier.com/be-easy/

I don't know the last time that I ordered pizza... but today seemed to call for it!

I snuck up on Taylor and caught him reading after bedtime... :)

Just got this email response about our moving saga from a friend of ours in Knoxville who is a professor of English and cinema studies at UT and thought it was such a FABULOUS connection to this classic movie...
"What a story!  It’s a cautionary tale about choosing moving companies, but it’s also an IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE ending, isn’t it?  Potter may still have the $8,000, but he’s alone on Christmas Eve."
So thankful for all those near and far who have helped to make this side of the story WONDERFUL!
