We had so much fun driving up to Anacortes last night (as the kids did not have school today for the day between semesters) and surprising Nana for her birthday. We tied 4 balloons to the front door and rang the doorbell. Then we snuck to the backdoor (which was unlocked for us since Papa was in on the surprise). While Nana came down the stairs and saw the balloons, she heard the back door unlatch and was startled. When Jason led the way and walked in that door saying, "Happy Birthday," she was so surprised and confused (as she did not expect us at all to be there on a Tuesday night!).
Such fun to pull off the birthday surprise and get to stay for the night and go to a birthday brunch together today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA!!
