I wrote the following letter for Anna last February as a part of a class group project on gender in my theology class that I took from Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil on reconciliation. Our group read a book called Resist and Persist by Erin Wathen, and these are the things that stood out to me after I looked over all my notes and thought about what messages I wanted to make sure to pass down to Anna. It seems even more appropriate to come back to this again and remind her of these words as she embarks on this new chapter at Scripps.
