Jodi Connolly took up a challenge to hike 52 hikes this year and invited me to join her for one yesterday before I had class. Another friend of hers came too, and we had the most magical day. Jodi said it best when she posted this description: "Blanca Lake in all her fall glory. Almost ready to be tucked in for winter. Perfect day for layers, micros spikes, poles, and conversation to help us pop over the ridge and down to the lake. Otherworldly, but I’m grateful it is here in ours."
