Anna shared the video of her dance piece with us over Christmas from the show "In the Works" that I got to fly down and see in person the first week of December. This was a student-led choreography group, and it was a beautiful experience for her in her first semester of college to be in this supportive group. The sophomore who was the lead choreographer created space for them to build community so that they could really experience it together as they worked to create the dance. Anna told us in the fall that this was a space where she felt really seen and known, and the dance is evidence of the hard work they did to create community and to choreograph this piece. After such a disembodied couple of years, this piece wonderfully embodied the longing we all have for connection and community.
