Words of Wisdom from a Friend

When I asked my friend Heather how she teaches discernment to her children, she send me the following response: “There's probably a lot I could say but what comes to me first is simply to move slowly, watch closely and always ask why? Assume that everything is connected and that in God's creation, nothing is random. Patterns will unfold and you will see into the life of things. Most importantly, I always, always begin my prayers with "God, give me eyes to see and ears to hear." Ultimately, whether you have a life-long "gift" or a moment of it, discernment is seeing the world as God does and if we ask, He gives.”
