practical jokester

About a month ago, we changed things up with the kids' chores and have had them begin to take responsibility to do their laundry.  In light of this change, I put these post-it notes on the laundry chute in the bathroom to remind them to sort their laundry in their own baskets in their rooms and not throw clothes down the chute.  (I have not changed their allowance since they were in 1st grade or something like that so the pay increase was a welcome change for them! Cheap mama indeed...)

Abba was here over Thanksgiving and had the brilliant idea for me to change the post-it notes with the following messages and see how long it would take them to notice.

The new note was there for a few days before anyone noticed a thing, but when Anna found it,
she was laughing pretty hard while brushing her teeth. Thanks Abba for a good laugh!
