a look back at a SPECTACULAR week- day 7

a spontaneous happy hour last night with Mandy, Jon, Anderson and Dane Clark from Knoxville in town for the 4th of July weekend! (Mandy and I went to Happening together in high school and then we shared some sweet memories when we lived in Knoxville!)
ummm... one of these things is not like the other.
Needless to say, Anderson plays basketball. :)

and....a look back at Day 7 (July 28)
Rabida Island
Sombrero Chino (Chinese Hat)

We started off Janie and Abba's anniversary with rain overnight and then a rainbow on our boat ride to Rabida Island where we saw flamingos and lava lizards. We also got to snorkel more and swim a lost time with the sea lions.
The afternoon was an incredible visit to Sombrero Chino for more sights of sea lions (even a one day old sea lion and her mama), crashing waves, marine iguanas and lightfood crabs. We are still pinching ourselves that we got to experience all of these amazing things!!

When we were snorkeling, it was so much fun to look over at someone and point to a creature with delight (or I even clapped under water a few times)... What a gift to get to share this time and beauty together!
“I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation. It is not out of compliment that lovers keep on telling one another how beautiful they are; the delight is incomplete till it is expressed. It is frustrating to have discovered a new author and not to be able to tell anyone how good he is; to come suddenly, at the turn of the road, upon some mountain valley of unexpected grandeur and then to have to keep silent because the people with you care for it no more than for a tin can in the ditch; to hear a good joke and find no one to share it with."     - C.S.
