I got a text earlier this week inviting me to come to the graduation of one of my former first graders (Michael Clark) from many moons ago when I was teaching at Zion Prep. Michael's wonderful mom (Lanita Hill) and I have stayed in touch a bit, and she asked if I could join them in celebrating him. What a complete JOY to see him again and celebrate this fabulous accomplishment (as getting into the fire department here in the Seattle area is one of the most competitive in the country!).
