Rather than attending a bunch of introductory events on campus for Scripps parents' weekend since we have been to campus a bunch of times already, we whisked Anna off with us to soak up the beauty of Joshua Tree instead and have loved every minute.
Fun Fact: While many assumed the tree was located in Joshua Tree National Park, it's actually much closer to Death Valley National Park. The tree is about a half-mile off the west side of Route 190 in Darwin, California.

Thanks to Uncle Jim's recommendation, we made it to Pappy and Harriet's for a fun meal on Friday night before the crowds got crazy for the weekend.
