DC- day 3

melt

/melt/
Verb
Become liquefied by heat.

I heard that the heat index today was a sweltering 109 degrees today. So thankful for ice cold water that we gulped down at one point that hit the spot and for some amazing air conditioned buildings that felt like heaven after trekking around outside for a few miles to see the sights today...

We brought the unicycles to show Aunt Mae, but I also thought it might be good to have on our trek through the city. While this has been a good idea when we have been on adventures in Seattle, the heat just made things a bit tougher today.  Riding in the shade did get a thumbs up from Miss Anna, and it was pretty cool for her to get to unicycle with the Lincoln Memorial, the Capital Building and the White House as a backdrop...

a visit to see Einstein...
