through the locks...

Yesterday afternoon, we kayaked through the Ballard Locks with our friends Evan and Arie. We got to see salmon jumping and seals swimming, and I'm not sure if the sky could have been any more blue... With only two days officially left on the calendar of summer, this was a spectacular way to end the season.
Taylor started out in the yellow Jackson boat and Anna was in my kayak. We played musical boats later, and Taylor jumped in the boat with Jason in a sea kayak while Anna and I kayaked in the river kayaks.

When we drove back to Evan and Arie's house (near Magnuson Park) to help them unload the boats, we took them by the rope swing to share this treasure of a spot that we found last weekend... WHOOHOOO!!
