We got a very sad email from Janie today letting us know that our beloved Fern died this past weekend on June 12th. She was an extraordinary human who lived life to the fullest and who loved from a deep well. When you were with her, she made you feel like you were the most important person in the world, and she adopted Anna and Taylor as her very own on our trip to the Galapagos. It's been a gift tonight to go through these pictures, but my favorite find was digging up her voice in the video I made for Anna hearing her cheer for her performance as the swan in the Steadfast Tin Soldier her senior year--- because that is so much of who Fern was--- cheering for others and being such a powerful voice for good in this world. 💗
