"How do we keep our inner fire alive? Two things, at minimum, are needed. An ability to appreciate the positives in our life, and a commitment to action. Every day, it’s important to ask and answer these questions: ‘What’s good in my life?’ and ‘What needs to be done to make it better?’ " -Nathaniel Brandon
Anna gets to be in the instrumental music program at school. MANY THANKS TO KIM KREDICH for getting Anna off to such a great start last year so she can join in the fun at her new school!
Last Friday, Taylor was to bring a "Me-bag" to school to BF Day along with his classmates in 2nd grade. Unfortunately, they ran out of time at school and he did not get called on to present his bag that had five things in it that told something about him and represented things he liked. Since he switched to a new school on Monday to Laurelhurst, he was not going to have the chance to share it. He was really bummed about this and so we came up with the idea for him to have two friends over from our street over on Friday who would also put together a "Me-Bag" so that they could share them together. They had fun sharing their items and I loved hearing what they each had to say as it was a great way to have a little window into their personalities.
:) these are a few of my favorite things...
