Back in February, I read an article A Viral Prayer in the Age of Covid. After reading the article and falling in love with the prayer, I read a bit about the author and tracked down her bio. I came to find out that she was from Seattle and that she only lived about a mile from us in the Bryant neighborhood. I emailed her to ask if I could drop off a little package with a book I thought she would love at her house, and we had a lovely 5 minute talk with our masks on her front porch. We stayed in touch a bit through the spring and agreed to get together this summer when her kids were in camp. And today, she came over for lunch on our porch, and we talked for 3 hours straight. What a gift to set work aside and be so present with a kindred spirit.
