Local Theater Star

Our postman at the UDistrict Post Office is a colorful guy. His name is Chris, and not only does he work at the post office in the UDistrict, but he is also an Elvis impersonator and a playwright. In January, he told me that he wrote a play based on some of his crazy experiences from working at the post office and that he put a short scene in the play about a kind note that I brought to him one time. So, of course, I had to get tickets to go to the play to see someone play me as a customer at the post office!

Jason was a good sport to join me to go to Seattle Center last night to see a ragtag group of actors in a tiny theater perform some quirky shows.  During the play about the post office, Chris read the letter that I wrote to him a few years ago verbatim in the play in the short scene, and he even put my name in the program with special thanks. (I need to try to get a copy of the program from Chris as we did not bring one home.) I had long forgotten about that note, but it just was a profound reminder to me that we just don't know the things that make an impression on folks sometimes. Cheers to Chris, our Elvis impersonator postman!
