Sunday's Gifts

We sang this song tonight at the Festival of Lessons and Carols which I have heard many many times, but it struck me as if I had heard it for the first time:

"O holy child of Bethlehem, descend to us we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born in us today
We hear the Christmas angels, the great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel"

It was beautiful-- and it helped that the NW boys choir was singing along too! (The Festival of Lessons and Carols is one of our favorite Christmas traditions... Many thanks to Heather Fosth for telling me about her family tradition of going to this in Georgia many years ago. We've loved making it a Huff tradition too for many years now!)
