Score!

Last winter, Taylor had to write a persuasive speech in 3rd grade. He chose to write it on why we should build a half pipe in our backyard.  But then things changed when he began playing lacrosse and he decided he wanted to be a professional lacrosse player more than a professional scooterer.

Some students renting a house down the alley from us had a full size lacrosse goal in their back yard. We walked by it every day going to the bus, and then last weekend, Jason happened to walk by when the guys were hanging out outside. He asked them if they ever used it and they told him that they occasionally shot a few soccer balls in it, but they did not really use it. Then they asked if we wanted it. They even went so far as to help Jason carry it down to our house! When Taylor got home from playing at a friend's house, he was so excited! There's no question in our mind or in his that this is way better than a half pipe (because we weren't too sure how we were going to pull that off)... :)  SCORE!
