the power of one word

Yesterday morning, I was trying to get Taylor out the door on time, and it was taking him a lot longer to get his shoes on. He was frustrated with me as he felt that I was rushing him, and while he didn't slam the door, I know he felt like doing so as he left. That was not the way I wanted to send him off at all, and rather than saying the whole blessing I usually say as he leaves for school, I just said, "Peace be with you today, Taylor."

And then a little later that morning, this little text appeared.

I often post fun pictures that are worth sharing, but this seemed worth sharing and celebrating too. So grateful for the simple way that one word can turn things around and that we can always begin again.
