I just got this email from Gene and Bette with these wonderful pictures of the kids. While I am experiencing such a different world, they are taking a break in Anacortes this weekend.

Hi, Em! We missed you in Anacortes today!
Nana and the kids headed down the street to pick apples for more applesauce. They're going through it pretty fast! Dean let them use his picker for the higher ones.
They both had fun fastening leaves to their bikes so they'd make motor sounds.
