MLK Memorial- Seattle, WA
The park is designed around a black granite "mountain"-
a sculpture at the center of a reflecting pool,
inspired by his "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech,
made the day before he was assassinated in 1968.
Men
often hate each other because they fear each other; they fear each other
because they don't know each other; they don't know each other because they can
not communicate; they can not communicate because they are separated. - Dr.
Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King preached, "I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, that rough places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."
continuing the celebration at home with Liam and Micah
